Vandaag heb ik de kat in grafiet getekend als een demo tijdens de kattenshow in Groningen. Ik was er half oktober al aan begonnen in het vliegtuig naar Curaçao, maar heb hem nu eindelijk afgemaakt.

Today I've finished a cat in graphite. I did as a demo during a catshow in Groningen (The Netherlands) allthough I've started the drawing half October, when I was on the plane to the Caribean.

Hoe werkt het? Email de foto naar info@purrfect-art.com samen met je naam, adres, woonplaats en emailadres. Vermeld ook de naam en eventueel ras van het dier. Je kunt de foto's insturen tot en met 1 februari 2010. Eind februari maak ik dan op mijn site bekend welke foto heeft gewonnen.

Het portret dat je wint is een pastelportret, formaat 20x30 incl. passepartout.

How does it work? Email the photograph to info@purrfect-art.com together with your name, adress, place, country and emailadress. Make also a small note about the name of the animal and what kind of breed it is (if possible). Photo's can be sent in untill Februari 1st 2010.

End Februari I'll let you all know wich photo won the contest and wins a matted/mounted pastelportrait (20x30 cm).

Winner show Amsterdam

Hier ben ik bezig met de Cocker. Dank je wel Linda voor de foto!

Sorry dat ik zo verschrikkelijk weinig gepost heb de afgelopen 2 weken. Helaas had ik hier niet 1 maar 2 computers die in staking gingen.
Afgelopen weekend ben ik naar de Winnershow (hondeshow) in Amsterdam geweest. Het was voor mij de eerste keer op deze show. Zaterdag was het gezellig druk, zondag werd het nog een graadje drukker, maar nog steeds supergezellig! Ik kom zeker volgend jaar terug.
Ik heb niet alleen heel veel foto's mogen maken van hele mooie honden, maar ben ondertussen ook aan het werk geweest met een pastelportret van een Cocker Spaniel. De foto van deze hond heb ik genomen op de IJsselshow in Zwolle.

I am so sorry that I haven't been posting the last 2 weeks. Unfortunatly I didn't had 1 but 2 crashed computers.
Last weekend I had a stand on the Winnershow in Amsterdam (International dogshow). I was my first time here, but I defenitly will come back. It was a great and busy weekend. I not only took a lot of photo's of beautifull dogs, but I also worked on a demo of a Cocker Spaniel in pastel. I took his photo on the IJsselshow in Zwolle last time.

Hier een oproepje naar al mijn blog lezers. Ik ben dringend op zoek naar foto's voor mijn serie City Cats. Dus ben je op vakantie geweest in een grote/ hoofdstad en heb je leuke foto's? Mail deze dan naar ijben022@planet.nl. Ik ben voornamelijk op zoek naar Londen, Parijs en Berlijn. Maar alle andere plaatsen zijn van harte welkom.
Als dank je wel krijg je van mij een A4 print van het schilderij waar ik jouw foto voor gebruikt heb. Vergeet dus niet je adres erbij te vermelden.

Waterballet (WIP)

Ik kwam een foto van dit paard tegen op internet. De fotografe bleek de 19 jarige Amy Barends uit Den Helder. Gelukkig mocht ik van haar deze foto gebruiken om te tekenen.
Hier mijn versie in pastel op velour 40x50 cm. Hier twee in de maak foto's, ik hoop hem van de week af te kunnen ronden.

I came across this photo wile surfing the internet. The photographer is Amy Barends a 19 year old girl from Den Helder. She gave me her kind permission to use this photo to draw from. Here's my version in pastel on velour, size 40x50 cm. Here are 2 wip shots, I hope to finish it this week.
